Stay with us
Welcome to our home. Take in the views, the wide open spaces and then relax and unwind in one of two en-suite guest rooms. It’s a world you won’t want to leave.
Long before Beatrix Potter adopted the Herdwick sheep they roamed freely over the Lakeland landscape for over 1000 years and to this day enjoy a full life growing on the beautiful fells of Borrowdale.
Yew Tree Farm, Rosthwaite, Borrowdale, Cumbria
Situated just six and half miles south of Keswick in the awe inspiring Borrowdale Valley, Yew Tree Farm has much to offer. If it’s a few nights peace and relaxation you are looking for then why not try our Bed & Breakfast? Or, if you happen to be passing why not pop in for light refreshments at our Flock-In tearoom, where we also stock our delicious range of Herdwick meats – raised and prepared here on the farm. And if it’s something a little different you would like to try then why not book on one of our Fellfarm Experiences where you get to spend time with Jonny, a fourth generation Fell Farmer, the Herdwick sheep and the farm dogs, learning all about a year in the life of the farm. Don’t just admire the scenery – be part of it!
Yew Tree Farm offers very much a traditional, personal service in, and on, a traditional Borrowdale farm, set in just the most amazing location. Although we prefer the sound of conversation and phone calls to the silence of email and text, this rural idyll is not completely without technology as WiFi is available in the B&B rooms of the farmhouse and we are quite happy to answer any email query if that’s what you prefer to use.
